Uranium City,Saskatchewan Canada Meteor Fireball 10:15 pm 6APR2011
Guest34 (guest): I live in Uranium City, Saskatchewan Canada. I just saw a fireball with a long tail moving south accross the sky just below the Orion constellation. It was about twice the size of a street light and lasted for about 6 or 7 seconds. That was at about 10:15 pm on April 6th.
Edmonton, AB at 10:15 pm APR 6 MST
Witnessed the same fireball from Edmonton, AB at 10:15 pm APR 6 MST
(Currently Saskatchewan CST is the same as AB MST)
From Uranium city, Orion was situated to the SW, I witnessed the fireball to the NORTH watched pass from 15 deg over horizon NNW to NNE where it broke up and burned out above the horizon about 5 deg up.
This would put a fall somewhere around the Grand Rapids, Lac la Biche, Gypsy Lake area or slightly east. Was a slow mover for sure. - Greg
