Letters from Readers of Meteor/Meteorite News
Pensacola Green Fireball 21JAN2011 ~7:00 pm EST
Dear Sir,
I know in the last few days you have seen several large green fireballs, but none have been reported for Florida, near Pensacola.  I wanted to let you know that today, 21JAN2011, shortly before 7:00 pm CST I saw a very large green fireball cross the sky.  I was driving home when I spotted the fireball.  I am sorry I'm not able to give you the precise time, but I hope that helps with some of your tracking.  Have a lovely evening.

It was quite large and had a long smokey like tail behind it - it was falling north to south towards the Mississippi Sound. It was quite amazing. My husband thought it was a missile. I'm pretty confident it was a meteor or fireball of some sort.

traveling south on I-85 just north of Atlanta at 8:03pm a large green fireball passed to my south. Looking at maps it was traveling southeast. looks as though it went black just outside of Stone mountain ga.

Driving East of McDonough, GA, on Friday 1/21 around 8PM, my husband and I witnessed a large yellow meteor with a long golden tail. Spectacular!

4/29/11 Foley, AL at 9:15 central time. I saw a huge green fireball. No sound or trail. Moved really fast from the time I saw it till the time it hit the ground (assuming it hit the ground) took about 5 seconds.
