We saw it too! We thought it was a shooting star but it was huge! When we got home we looked it up and realized what it was. Amazing!

I saw a huge ball of fire falling really fast from the sky in Buckhannon WV

Unknown said...

I saw it on the southside of va, halifax county. I was facing northwest or so on my way home from work at about 7:50. It was greenish blue, and lasted about 4 seconds. It was past sunset but still light out, I assume that's way it was greenish blue.

Tonight, about 8pm, heading S93 out of Boston just near Milton exit; my eyes happened upon what I first thought to be landing gear lights of plane but in a pilot light gas blue color than green that continue to travel from right to left of my eyes then saw trail of white behind the blue to green ball that then suddenly pancaked out fizzled and left gold sparklies against the clear black sky with trail of white remaining bit longer. Super shocked and super cool! What a treat for my brother whom we just arrived from Logan flight from LA!

I forgot to say I was in Bellows Falls, Vt when I saw this.

Traveling on I-95 South Stamford CT. The light looked like an airplane light but then started changing shape when I realized it was a meteor. Within seconds it disintegrated giving out colorful lights. This happened close to 8PM

Myself and my sister were sitting outside in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland tonight on 3/22/2013 and I looked up in the sky around 8:30pm and I saw what appeared to be a shooting star, however much much larger and much closer than I have ever seen. There was a green color within it, a bit of orange and red, and a huge tail behind it while looking like it was on fire just moving very slowly across the sky. This was one of the most awesome things I have ever seen in the sky, so I wont forget about this anytime soon. It was really pretty:)
