13MAR2012 Shay Central FL 8:15 EST 5 seconds NE-SW white/yellow/green Brighter than Spica or Saturn at the moment No Awesome!

13MAR2012 Joe Leone Port St Lucie, FL, USA 20:05:00 3 to 5 seconds Directly overhead to the western sky Bright white Very bright, maybe as bright as moon Just saw a long streak as it travelled across the sky Walking the dog and just happened to be looking up and saw it stream across the sky

White fireball with comet-like head and thin white tail. As bright as Venus, No fragmentation. Fireball was about the same or a little larger than the planet Venus. Venus and Jupiter were nearly due west at that time. The fireball was about half as high in the sky as they were.

13MAR2012 Gretchen Hollingsworth Winder, GA USA 20:30 Hours Eastern Time 10 seconds approximately-I yelled for my husband to come look, and by the time he made it in the room it was out of sight. NE-W I was inside, so I didn't hear any sound. I just saw what appeared to be a giant fireball moving across the sky, as if it was something on fire. It was insanely bright, white edged with pale yellow/orange. It was as bright as the sun. I didn't notice any fragments. I could draw it, but it would just look like a ball of fire.

Finland Meteor Fireball Midnight 11/12MAR2012

At 11-12.3 midnight I saw brighter than Venus fireball descending from the Sky. My estimation for brightness is somewhere -8mag.
It had blue/orange color, and tail was orange. Lenght of the tail was maybe 5degrees.
Fireball reached horizon and from my observation place it looked that it didnt fainted before it vanished behind the trees and clouds.
All the time it was bright without fainting. At the same time my camera was taking Time-Lapse photos of auroras and luckily one frame had part of fireballs descent.

Very poor capture of what must have been a bright event over Kansas. Time on the OKC Sandia Sentinel Allsky Camera was 11:42:06 start (06:42:06 Central). There's a cutoff in the camera optics that masked the final trajectory.

It was extremely bright and when it got real close, it exploded into several big sparks and then faded out. It looked like a mag light was falling from the sky and then blew up into big orange sparks.   yes none available.

13mar2012 richard junction city, ks, usa 0642 central standard time 1 to 2 seconds facing west, started straight up in sky, continued mostly straight down, a little south westward travel green and white color, very bright, lit up most of the sky as bright as a military flare at 100 meters there was a tail of white and green sparks but no huge pieces meteor seemed really close based on size and near vertical path. would have contacted ground south of I70, west of 77

Facing North, appeared almost directly overhead, dropped in a steep arc from Southeast to Northwest No sound heard; brilliant green Like the moon. No Surprisingly large.  Have only seen one other that was this large.  It was the same color--bright green.

10MAR2012 Steve Carey South San Francisco, California, USA approx 7:00pm pacific time 3 to 4 seconds east to west very BRIGHT white no sound Brighter than the moon, not as bright as the sun no This object appeared to be approx 100,000 feet in altitude.  It was very bright and traveling over 1k knots. it traversed the entire sky in a few seconds.  It was larger than any shooting star I have ever seen.  We live by SFO.  It is easy to guage altitude relative to planes aloft.  At the stated altitude, it appeared to be about the size of a tennis ball and glowing white.  Both my wife and I saw this object.

MOORESTOWN, N.J., March 8, 2012 – A prototype of a new radar system developed by a Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT]-led team is now tracking orbiting space objects, bringing the U.S. Air Force’s Space Fence program one step closer to revolutionizing our nation’s space situational awareness.

Utilizing powerful, new ground-based radars, Space Fence will enhance the way the U.S. detects, tracks, measures and catalogs orbiting objects and space debris with improved accuracy, better timeliness and increased surveillance coverage.
