There are currently 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 known NEO Asteroids discovered that will pass within approximately 10LD or less, LD stands for "Lunar Distance", in the month of September; expect that 10 or more NEOs will be discovered before month end. Be ready for some bolide, fireball, and meteor activity!  We have FIVE small "mountain-sized" asteroids that will safely pass, but close enough for comfort!!!  Unfortunately we will be Moonblind for ground-based detection from 03SEP until about the 16th so expect some asteroids that will go undetected. -Yellow highlighted cells indicate ALERT!

25SEP2014 Kevin M. Pensacola, Florida Early A.M. ? 2:00 to 4:00 am CST. 5 to 8 seconds did not see. Sleeping. Darn it. ?? ????? ???? We heard 3 distinct Sonic Booms woke from sleep and thought might be military testing in Gulf. But it was very different sound. It rattled house. Not usual. It was BOOM. 2 3 4, BOOM, BOOM, rumble. Sorry not much info if any?

This morning, 25SEP2014, at local time 06:15 ( UT 03:15 ) there was a bright fireball, around Oulu, Finland with sonic booms.  This was also witnessed in Sweden.

Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
24SEP2014 Josie Decatur, Alabama 04:30 cst 5-7 sec facing west when I saw it. It was falling much more vertically than horizontally Green very bright. brighter than moon at the very end it did fragment first time I've ever seen one so bright and green, nonetheless.

From my porch facing west this morning ofSept.24 approx. 4:35 I saw a large bright blue fireball fall towards the south western hemisphere and afterwards a large white flash, possibly burning up on entry. I am located in North Alabama 22 miles south of Huntsville. -Larry Preiss

Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
24SEP2014 anthony summerfeild Fl 1:25:00 lasted about 5 or 6 seconds before it wasnt visible straight down i was facing. in the direction of ocala/gainesville area. Bright green flash then faded away to nothing it lit up the sky . im not sure if it made it to the ground or not i didnt see anything break away from it so im assuming it did. it was the most amazing random event ive ever witnessed. Better than the best fireworks ive ever seen without the boom.

Much larger in size than a planet. I didn't really see any fragmentation. I've never seen anything like. It was unreal, like something out of a movie.

 Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
23SEP2014 BrodyHall Hastings, MI 11:13PM EDT 3-4 sec south to north Bright orange fireball Brighter than an airplane headlight none quickly went out at about a 70 degree angle to the horizon.

23SEP2014 Samantha Lewis Flint, MI 22:12:00 5 to 7 sec Northwest Saw what appeared to be a large meteor falling straight down, flare up in ball of flame and then descend No moon tonight but appeared very bright in sky Hard to tell, maybe I have no idea how far away it was, but my guess is that it landed rather than burn up in the atmosphere and more than likely more than 20 miles NW of us.
