Worldwide Meteor Alert  Issued-
  Large Meteor Outburst Possible Near CERTAIN! 14JAN2014 -  31JAN204
Alert issued 12JAN2014 - 0154 Japan Standard Time by LunarMeteoriteHunter, Tokyo

"Large enough" 1.2 km - 2.6 km equals 0.75 mile - 1.62 mile diameter known asteroid, 251346 (2007 SJ) , passing Earth's neighborhood on 21JAN2014 at 18.9 LD during this period of days.
Currently we are nearly "moon-blind" for discovery of approaching, yet undiscovered, NEOs by ground-based telescopes.  I suspect that we will have a few large meteor events during the period of 14JAN2014 -  31JAN204 as we will have one "large enough" 1.2 km - 2.6 km  equals  0.75 mile - 1.62 miles, diameter known asteroid, 251346 (2007 SJ) , passing Earth's  neighborhood  at 18.9 LD during this period of days. One Lunar Distance, LD, equals ~384,000 kilometers or about 238,607 miles. 18.9 LD is not extremely close, but debris that may be accompanying it may be much closer and enter our atmosphere prior to any detection.

Currently 3 NEOs now discovered with an LD of less than 10 or about.

Object travelled from generally from West to East. Just under the moon. Bright green. Almost Fluorescent Green. Very very bright No but left trail. One of the most exciting natural phenomena I have ever seen. I was absolutely amazed. So excited. I am a retired cop so I thought I had just about seen everything.. I was actually excited. 18JAN2014 David Stockport, Cheshire, UK 20:16:00 2/3/2014 Left to right White at front, then green and blue Brighter than moon No Saturday 18 January 2014 at approx. 20:16 - 20:18. We were driving from SK8 (Cheadle) to SK2 (Davenport/Stockport) on Adswood Road(just near the railway bridge/Jewsons). It travelled from left to right coming down from the sky at angle of between 3 and 4 pm on a clock. It was extremely bright white at the large forward end of the item and was then blue and green towards the tail end. We cannot remember what colour was nearest the white, whether it was blue or green. The green was almost emerald in colour and the blue fiercely bright

steve doss Boerne, TX, USA 0709 CST 3-4 sec While driving WSW, object appeared straight ahead, 20 deg abv horizon, traveling vertical down & disappeared below distant tree line Bright white, turned bluish-white, did not diminish or flicker much brighter than a typical moon & larger than venus, prob would have been visible in full light No believe it had a tail after turning blue

13JAN2014 Doug Tucson AZ USA 2311 MST 2 to 3 seconds Start 33 degrees Stop Impact. Direction of travel West to East from South Tucson looking NW White flare with greenish impact...very quick 2 to 3 seconds. Venus at flare up NO Love the Arizona sky this time of year

13JAN2014  Valrie tonight monday the 13th while my friend and i were driving home to las vegas from work in primm nv at about 10:15pm we saw this ball that was blue with a long blue flame falling southeast.. i see shooting stars all of the time but this was very big...the tail and ball were both blue and it lasted a tleast 10 seconds. i could even see the ball appear to be breaking apart as it got closer.

12JAN2014 Cheron Fitzgerald Champaign, IL 21:20 CST, PM 1-1.5 sec S-N, facing N (came from behind me) White, slightly greenish Slightly brighter than Sirius none disappeared behind rooftop. Apparent size about that of sirius. Moon near full. No clouds in that part of the sky.

12JAN2014 Brian Winking Quincy, Illinois, U.S.A. 9:19 PM CST 10 sec N-N-E Bright white sun no / short tail let the dog out, was looking up at how clear the sky is, saw bright meteor / fireball

12JAN2014 Jim Todd Crawfordsville, IN USA 22:20 EST About 2 seconds. Started about N-W and headed slightly downward towards NN-W while I was facing N-W. It was about 40° up and came down 5° before fading out. Mostly white with bluish-green edges. No sound noticed. As bright as Venus but larger. Two similar sized pieces gapped by half of one's size. There were 3 tiny fragments just ahead of the front one. The two larger pieces were probably 4-5 times larger than Venus.
