Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
Hobart, Tasmania
I saw a large fireball/ meteor in the sky over Hobart tonight, 20th September at a little after 8.30pm. I was looking NW and it travelled to the west, lasted about 2 seconds, quite a golden fiery colour. It started small but got bigger and brighter before just going out, travelling fast! -Anna

Saturday 20 September 2014. Sighted in inner Melbourne shooting very brightly to the south down towards the CBD at around 20.30 (or at the precise point on the night's 7Mate screening of Apollo 13 when things started to go horribly wrong for Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon). Appeared like a meteor or space junk with tail. Andrew Northcote Vic. -Boxie Blog
