Margate, southern Tasmania Daytime Meteor Fireball 19SEP2011

FIREBALL REPORT... Location Here:[ margate, southern Tasmania] Time Here:[7:45am ] Date Here[19.9.11 ]
I thought it might be a flare, however there was not a red or orange colour or any smoke. What I did see was a very bright green white light in the north north eastern sky, it appeared very close to the earth and in broad daylight at 745am. It was traveling generally in a west to east direction. There was a white tail of light with blues as well. It lasted a few seconds before, i guess, dissipating. There was no noise associated with it's appearance however there was a dull thump soon after it appeared, just before it went.
Most amazing, if it was a bright fireball in the daytime I feel very lucky! -Jen.  Thank you Jen!
