No one's sure what caused last evening's flashes in the sky. The National Weather Service said today it has seen no evidence of any naturally occurring phenomenon to explain reports of a bright flash of light in eastern Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.... My boyfriend and I were driving on Ashcake road around 940 pm 3/29heading towards Ashland when we saw one low in the southeast sky. Big streak of light, then it exploded and was gone.
