Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
30OCT2013 Bob Shannon Richland, WA, USA 06:05 AM PST 6/8/2013 E-W, facing north, about 10 o'clock high White, no sound Venus beautiful tail Biggest, birghtest I have ever seen, the tail and sparkles looked more like you see in a cartoon
30OCT2013 Walter Weber Medical Lake, WA, USA 0555/Pacific 5-6 seconds? East to West, I was driving southbound Very fast moving, real bright, white and blue long tail Brighter than the moon, I thought it was an aircraft landing light at first no Longst tail I've seen in a while, It actually suprised me when I first saw it
30OCT2013 Cherie Lingelbach West linn Oregon 5:50:00 10 or 12 seconds East to west from right to left None. Just a long white light that lasted for a long time Yes No It was low in the sky
30OCT2013 Stewman Polson, MT, USA 0657/MST 5 sec E-W White, Big, Low, Slow Moon or Venus No Surreal, most seem much higher in the sky. This looked like it would hit the ground around Sandpoint, ID
30OCT2013 Dan M CALGARY, ALBERTA 6:55MST I saw about 6 seconds but it did not burn out. It continued past my line of sight. Facing south East to West Big bright fireball with long tail As big as a soft ball at arms length. As bright as sun but much smaller No, but very long tail seem to be travelling horizontally so at first I thought it was a plain with a very bright light but then I saw the huge long tail.
30OCT2013 Len D. Thompson Falls, MT 6:45:00 10 seconds United States Bright white/blue Brighter than the moon none Flying east to west directly overhead. Left a huge trail of light. Moving faster than anything I have ever seen. Lost site as it flew further west. Amazing!
