Fort Collins, CO bright white light 6:50 pm 22FEB2011
I saw a bright white light slowly trailing over the tree tops while driving eastbound on Prospect Road at the intersection of Shields in Fort Collins on Tuesday around 6:50 PM. It looked like a bottle rocket firecracker that never sparked at the end, but the light was very bright and slow. It was dusk and I could see clouds above it. It looked very close and low. I wish it would have looked colorful for me too, but the white was awesome! - Alicia

Greeley, CO sighting 5:45pm 2-22-11
Driving east bound on Hwy 34 towards Greeley, CO, between County road 17 and 19. At around 5:45 pm on 02/22/11 I saw a small bright white light pass from my upper left windshield corner down to the lower right. It seemed to burn out as it approached the horizon. Seemed small and close by as if it touched down only a few hundred yards away in the field to the southeast of me. No sign of smoke or dust off the ground. Very bright and white considering it was not quite sunset.

Windsor, Colorado at 5:50 pm
From Windsor, Colorado at 5:50 pm driving east on Highway 74 (Harmony Road) and County Road 15 saw a white light from the left corner of my windshield, passed in front of my car and had a blue/white tail, flashed and then seemed to burn out before hitting the ground. Glad to know that I wasn't the only one that saw this!

Boulder, CO
From downtown Boulder, I saw the green/blue tail last for about 3 seconds and then fizzle out into orange sparks. My mom saw it at the same time and it was almost unbeleiveable until we looked to each other for confirmation. From where I was, the tail was about 3-4 inches long in the sky...it must have been huge! It was still light out just about to turn to night at around 5:50pm. Truly amazing!

Imperial, Nebraska Hugh Fireball 5:50 pm 22FEB2011
I was driving west from Imperial, NE, just across the Colorado state line and saw the huge fireball. It started high in the sky and fell southwards at approximately 10 minutes before 6:00 p.m. It was absolutely beautiful! Interesting that I saw it from the east, looking west and everyone else who reports this saw it looking to the east from the front range.

Thank you!

Update!
Just got news that there is one all-sky that did get it: station EN 95 Benningbroek in the northwest of the country operated by Jos Nijland captured it. It is low on the horizon there, not a real spectacular picture imo. Lots of brightness variation visible along the trail.
It is low south-southwest in Eridanus on the image, suggesting appearance over the Belgian coast/Northern French coast/Northern Channel area.
There really should be British, Belgian or French observations if it was clear there.
- Marco
----
All I can say about it at the moment is that the Dutch all-sky camera's did not
capture it because of cloud cover on the active stations. While some parts of
the Netherlands were clear that night, several areas had cloud cover (it was
clouded here in Leiden for example). That is rather unfortunate.

I was driving at a quarter to nine approximatly, to Nunspeet and five minutes before this place i saw a huge fireball in the sky. At first i was shocked en than i saw the gigantic tail and thought "this must be a meteor". It fell into little pieces when it came in contact with the earth`s atmosphere. It was very spooky and at the same time very special to see.

Approx 18h45 Friday 18 fevrier we saw a meteorite/fireball going across the sky from a south/south east direction heading west. It seemed very large and long and quite low and was orange/yellow with some blue at the mass (front). we saw it for approx 20 seconds only as there are large hills behind us which obstructed our view of its flight. Very unfortunately we did not have time to capture on camera but it was really quite amazing!

Sorry, I didn't record the time and didn't have time to photograph but yesterday evening, maybe close to the time a fireball was reported by someone in Perpignan (although I think it was later, closer to 7 pm) I saw a large meteorite enter the atmosphere west of Biot, just north of Antibestravelling I'd guess north west and break into two large fragments and many
smaller, glowing orange at their leading margins accompanied by a bright flash of green light. Regards, John
Thank you John!

Meteorite sighting France
On Friday 18th early evening I happened to glance out of my window in Collioure, which looks directly out to the Pyrenees, and was very lucky to see a low flying oblong object, with sparking lights at the front, pass at speed between two mountains. The whole thing lasted about 5 seconds. Good to hear that others also witnessed this wonderful sight.

From my angle, the meteorite shot straight down toward the lake and disappeared in a matter of 2-3 seconds. Was incredible! - Patricia Dillman.

Hi. I'm from Downers Grove, IL. I witnessed the green fireball looking out my window at the moon on February 17th. It was a little to the left of the moon. It was green for a second or two, then turned yellow or orange as it was falling closer. I was looking to the east out of my window. I'm about 15 minutes west of Chicago. It was a nice sight to witness. ~Billy Snow
