FIREBALL REPORT... Location Here:[KINGSTON MA ] Time Here:[ AROUND 2:45 AM] Date Here[9/16/11 ]
It was bright green going north to south with a long tail. It looked like it exploded but there was no sound. -Dorothy
Thank you Dorothy!

Stony Point, NY ~2:00 am
Just an FYI: I observed a white fireball or meteorite at approximately 2am this morning 9/16/2011 in Stony Point NY. I had just gotten off the Palisades Parkway at exit 15 and was heading east on Rt 106. This fireball dropped out of the sky to the NE and fell behind the trees. I can't say how far away it was. I have never seen anything like this before so I am not sure what it was but it was a fascinating sight. It was a mostly white ball with a reddish tail surrounded by a narrow aura of color. Let me know if you get any other reports.-Noreen O'Sullivan
Thank you Noreen.
