Police investigated and contacted Township Committeeman John Carpenter whose report indicates a " crater trench" 4 feet long by 1.5 feet wide and 1.5 feet deep excavated by a "meteorite". No meteorite has been located in the debris. The bomb squad was called and explosives were determined not to have been the cause.
