I am from Serebia and saw it at 19:30 local time. I didn't hear the BOOM because I live 200km from fall site. If I find some new informations and photos, I'll post them here.

Djordje Savic writes,
"About 19:30, CET I heard thunder just like a metro entering the substation for about 4 or 5 secunds. There was also a bright light on southern sky. I live in Vladicin Han 30km north of city of Vranje and 100km south of Nis. My grilfriend told me that, In her nearby town, Surdulica, 10 km east of Vladicin Han, most of citizens left their homes in panic of earthquake, what they thought in that moment.
The National Television Station said in midnight news that a small of earthquake 1.4 of Righter scale was detected in Leskovac, about 45 km northern of Vladicin Han.
I have not seen any videos of this event, only some witnesses states of thunder and bright light. Some peoples from northern cities like Nis, Belgrade, Pirot etc. have mentioned in their comments on several web portals they saw bright sphere on souther sky falling down and change colour." I just got a report from a neighbor in Freeland, Maryland who witnessed what he called a massive fireball. It started in the south from his position, went over head and ended in the north. He said it left behind a brilliant white streak of light in the sky that remained for a few seconds after the fireball had past. See: Astro Mike  for more.  If you saw this event please fill out the AMS Meteor Sighting Report Form (here).

Thibodaux Louisiana Bright Fireball 10NOV2010 Other Meteor Reports Meteor/Meteorite News 11NOV2010

Readers Meteor Sighting Reports:

Thibodaux La.(Southwest of New Orleans) 9:30pm CST 10NOV2010- Bright Fireball
"I'm from Thibodaux La.(Southwest of New Orleans) and I saw a very bright light streak across the sky tonight (Wednesday 11/9/10) at about 9:30pm. I was outside in my back yard and looking down when my whole yard lit up. I then looked up and saw a very bright ball streaking across the sky (I presume a meteor or space debris) with a long orange trail behind it. The white light burned out but, the long orange trail behind it glowed for about 2 to 3 seconds until it burned out. The event lasted about 4 to 5 seconds. It looked like something burning very hot across the sky. It was coming from the Northwest and heading to the Southeast but actually died out right overhead. I didn't hear a sound, although I thought I would possibly hear a crash or see something fall to the ground but, it seemed to disintegrate above me." -Morgan  (contact info)

AMAZING FIREBALL OVER BATON ROUGE, LA 10NOV@9:30PM
My friend here at work just told me about an amazing earth grazer he saw last night around 9:30PM-10PM from a field behind his apartment as he walked his dog...
He saw it flash overhead and it was bright enough to see in his sky over Burbank and Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge. It appeared to be heading SE. Not only did the flash catch his attention, but it left a vapor trail that covered almost a full 90 degrees of the sky! It dissapated quickly within a second. Here's the really amazing part.. he heard either a low sonic boom or impact a few seconds later!!!! (mcramb please email me). mcaramb (no contact info)

New Orleans, Louisiana
Last night (11/10/10) at about 9:20-9:30 PM, I was near Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans and saw what I guess was a meteor shoot from East to NW very low overhead. It was bright neon green with a green tail that changed to orange as it sped by. It seemed to be about the size of a softball, and I thought it must be some kind of large Roman candle flare because it was so close to earth (not way up high like shooting stars). It seemed to be just a little higher than the roofline of my 2-story house. It lasted just a few seconds. I expected to hear something when it hit the ground, but I never heard or saw it because it fell behind a house out of my line of sight (or else it just burned up). I've seen many, many shooting stars in my 50+ years, but NEVER anything even close to this! It was so LOW and BIG! I doubt I'll ever experience it again. Did anyone else by chance see this? - NolaLady (no contact info)

I heard no sound and can not tell how far away it was. It lasted about 2 seconds but I could not see where it began due to the roof overhead." Anon
