Las Vegas, NV. Green Luminous Meteor 3-4 second Duration between 7:15-7:20 pm 21NOV2011
It's now 7:32pm PST in Las Vegas, NV. I was out back on my patio, facing east when I saw a pale green luminous ball shoot across the sky, west to east. It was larger than all bodies visible in the night sky, except the moon. My best estimation would be approximately 1/10 size of a full moon, perhaps slightly larger. I was visible for about 3 or 4 seconds before it vanished in the eastern horizon. There was little or no visible "tail" which seemed immediately odd to me. There was no flashing, twinkling or other fluctuation in it's luminosity or intensity. This likely happened between 7:15 & 7:20pm. Well wishes,~Kim C. Harper Thank you Kim!

I just saw a monster green meteor that lasted 4 sec heading northwest.- Bonnie B.

I SAW THE SAME THING!!! I about freaked out and woke up my brother sleeping next to me. I was driving north on hwy160 from Las vegas heading to Pahrump at around 10:30 when I saw it. It lasted about 4 or so seconds. in comparison to a shooting star the "head" was about the size if a softball, as opposed to shooting star "head" about the size of a marble, if you will (make sense?). It just fell like a meteor mostly straight up to down and fell behind the mountain or something. It was a really flourescent green fireball looking thing and its trail was like greenish trail with hints of white and blue but it was mostly green and the trail was wide like the fireball it was really neat!!

Meteor observed 40 degrees above the eastern horizon traveling North to South in a line covering 40 degrees. Observer’s position 12 miles northwest of the city center. Duration 2.4 seconds. No fragmentation. No sound. No trail. Predominant color white. Approx. four times the diameter and brightness of planets in view.
