Ceará, Brazil Fireball Meteor 26NOV2016

Piauí, Ceará and Pernambuco, Brasil 26NOV2016
20-30 Second Duration with Sonics Reported.

Sightings Map of 26NOV2016 Brasil Bolide
c 2016 BRAMON

Report of  Piauí, Ceará and Pernambuco, Brasil 26NOV2016 by BRAMON
written by Lauriston Trindade
On the night of that last Saturday (26) a big meteor tore up the skies of Ceará and Piauí. It could be seen, in addition to these two states, by Maranhão, Pernambuco, Paraíba, Rio Grande do Norte and Bahia.
Unfortunately, none of the cameras monitoring of BRAMON recorded the event, but we managed to collect around 40 reports in several cities close to what has happened and from these reports, we set up a trajectory estimated for the object, which can be seen in this map.
The object began to shine on the ocean, next to the city of Fortaleza, and crossed the Ceará from north to south, passing near Crateús, where we received several reports. Entered the state of Piaui and went about the city of peaks.
There are reports that it was beyond the state of Piauí, toward the Bahia, but even if I don't have to come to both, the juggernaut presents pretty impressive numbers:
- lasted something between 20 and 30 seconds
- travelled  over 600 miles in the atmosphere
- had a speed between 20 and 30 km / sec
Until this moment, is very low the possibility that this is a re-entry of space junk, but still have not ruled out the possibility. The more likely it is that in the case of a meteor buzz, also called earthgrazer.
Meteors that kind are not enough to fall on earth. They scrape the higher layers of the atmosphere and return to the area. One of the most striking features for this kind of meteor is that he's apparently slower than the meteors more common, but the truth is, he's as fast as you. Just seem slower because occurs at very high altitudes and huge distances before returning to the area.
Important to reinforce that this map is still preliminary, but it fits perfectly with the majority of the statements. In addition, the margin of error is still too big, since they were made only from reports of visual observers.
We use to say thank you to all who are collaborating with their valuable reports and information about it.

Did you see? 'Fireball' is seen by residents of Piauí, Ceará and Pernambuco (in Portuguese)180graus.com
...In Ceará, according to the website of the People, the reports were made in the cities of Acopiara, Catherine, Mombasa, Whitestone, Crateús, New Russas, New East and Ipaporanga....

Beautiful Fireball captured on goiás last night!
I managed to achieve some results very bo0ns despite the capture hard, very luminous. It was a sporadic meteor, from almost exactly the antihelion. The Fireball hit maximum magnitude of-4,8 and spent about 42 km of Catalan. Your total duration was 2,3 seconds.
The altitude of initiation of luminosity was 81 km and its final altitude of 49 km. What was amazing in that fireball the low altitude reached in relation to their entry angle of 89°, the ablation (the loss of weight from the surface of the meteor vapour, rendered or as droplets) was intense. With a density mechanical force calculated 2,97 DYN / cm² it was a meteor of low-density, low mechanical strength, similar to mechanical resistance presented by cometary fragments.
What justifies the relatively low altitude that hit, for a body with this resistance, certainly was your average speed of about 22 km / s, "Average-low". If fastest certainly would have disintegrated in at higher altitudes.
In spite of owning a mechanical resistance similar to cometary fragments of its orbit doesn't follow it would be expected for a cometary meteróide: she had a very low slope: 0.1th and its perihelion and aphelion was still inside the asteroid belt.
Like that or it was a bolide impact of a comet of short period (family of Jupiter) or so of an asteroid of low density, maybe highly friable as one that led to the meteor porangaba.
In summary that fireball was very interesting, in addition to beautiful

The Eta Aquarídeas phenomenon occurs in the first week of May and can provide a good amount of meteors per hour. Its radiant is in the constellation Aquarius.
For 2015, the peak of this rain should occur between 5 and 6 May. But by the time the moon will be full, which should overshadow the spectacle of meteors.
The association of this meteor shower with Comet 1P / Halley was discovered in 1876 by astronomer Alexander Stewart Herschel and confirmed in subsequent years. In early May 1947 the radio telescope in the observatory Jodrell Bank in the UK for the first time detected this event in the radio portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.
The meteor showers do not pose risks to the Earth and occur in almost every month, some with more intensity and wide visibility.
We'll be broadcasting live on 06MAY2015 from 03:00 (Brasília time) in partnership with the Astrocan - RCP1 Bramon station in giving the direct images of São Paulo.
