Analysis of St. Patrick's day fireball over the UK
reported by meteordetective
An excellent follow-up to the 'St. Patrick's Day' meteor (which was widely reported and seen across much of England) has been posted at The Watchers website. It seems like the meteor was, perhaps, part of a (fast-moving) Comet?

17-Mar-2016: Large bolide seen across the UK
As reported earlier today, by UK Meteor Observation Network:
reported by meteordetective
"Very large fireball reported by public was first noticed by our Church Crookham station at 3:16 this morning. It momentarily overloaded the camera with light and with second video we will be able to triangulate and calculate the orbit soon."
Please visit their webpage to view multiple views of the bolide, which was captured by cameras across the UK - including the Natural History Museum in London.
The Daily Mirror reports that the bolide might have been observed from Germany, too. BBC, amongst others, are reporting on the bolide too.
Meteorites may have been produced. Stay tuned for updates from UKMON - regarding trajectory.

Meteor over Manchester 21 September 2012 ufo?? Only joking! As we walked out of the Manchester Evening News Arena (MEN) After watching George Michael, this meteor flew overhead. We did see this for longer but only managed to record a few seconds of it! When it was closer it looked amazing! Time was 10:55pm Just to add a little more information, this looked as if it was heading towards Wigan, West, or slightly north west.
It may help if people are trying to track where it was heading. The video shows me standing on Cheetham Hill Road, looking towards the junction of New Bridge street.

My husband and I were camping at the lakes and saw an enormous white ball heading towards us just above the horizon. We couldn't work out what it was until we saw it had tail and sparks coming from the back of it. It was completely silent. Grabbed my phone and recorded it as best I could, but didn't quite catch it before it started to break up. About 5 minutes later we heard the sonic boom. Totally impressive and so glad to have witnessed it.
