Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
27DEC2014 Sybil Fountain Hills, AZ. USA approx 19:30 MST not sure - was initially obscured by surrounding buildings and vegetation. I saw it for about 5 sec W to E bright green rimmed with yellow Quite bright in a dark sky.. Can't compare with something as large as sun o moon. Certainly no shadow effect but if you were looking in that direction you could not have missed it. Slight fragmentation One of the largest and brightest I've ever seen

27DEC2014 jenna Hulette Apache Junction, Az United States 19:00 MT 4 -5 seconds seen north traveling east Orange turned blueish BRIGHT white with explosions as it was breaking apart moon yes started north and travelled east over Superstition Mountain.. If you hold your fist at arms length .. that's how big it was in the sky... lasted about 4-5 seconds.. started out orange but turned very bright bluish white as it started breaking apart with explosion...

24DEC2014 norman garrett berja, southern spain, 40k east of almeria approx 10pm 15-20 seconds south to north very bright ball followed by a very long tail light, it crossed from behind me and disapeered to the north, it took approximately 15-20 seconds to cross the entire sky. the sky is very clear tonight. I called my son who came to the door 5-6 seconds later and we both watched it disapeer at an amazing spped to the north much brighter than the moon nothing falling but a very long bright tail none

Venezuela Geminid Meteor Shower 2014 Observation Results

  The Geminids were observed from 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm (22:30 - to 23:30 VET = -4h.30m. GMT) and the others radiants from 23:47 to 00:47 VET.
  We observed a ZHR = 117, but there were others, 4 radiants, active this night, but their ZHR were low and their meteors faint and very faint. The most important of those I think were: 43 Taurids, that is a new radiant discovered by me and another observer some days ago, and a radiant seen in Columbia, South of Orion. This last is not previously mentioned in any catalog.
  The Geminids had many bolides, one of them of -12 mag. (full moon), observed from Los Teques, Miranda State by Alida Ayesta. She reported a trail and changes in its color.
  Alfredo Castillo helped with the observation of the other meteor radiants.
