Scotland / Wales / United Kingdom Meteor(s) Fireball 1JULY2011

Renfrewshire, Scotland, United Kingdom Meteor Fireball 00:40 1JULY2011
On the 1st July 2011 at 00:40 I was on the M77 motorway just entered Renfrewshire, Scotland, United Kingdom from Kilmarnock to Glasgow. I saw a meteor fireball flew down at the far East side. I only noticed it at the last two seconds it disappeared from my sight. It is now summer time in UK, the sky was still bright even in night time but the meteor was even brighter and its in blue colour. I have no photo or video, I just saw it randomly. -Yuciy

Rhyl, North Wales
I live in Rhyl, North Wales and was looking approx north east at about the same time and I witnessed an orange streak across the sky that burnt out to a bright blue and orange....same one? -Anon.

East Midlands, UK Meteor 23.27 on 1st July 2011
My wife and I were by the Donington race track at 23.27 on 1st July 2011. Very clear sky. Meteor sighted to the south of us low in sky. Appeared to be large. Fireball with green and red coloured trail and quite "sparky". (Breaking up?) This was seen by someone else at the same time. Observer was near Rockingham, Northampton. he said it was travelling from North to South. It looked more West to East to us.

Bakewell, Derbyshire, UK. 1st July 2011, 23:28
We were camping at Haddon Grove Farm near Bakewell and saw the meteor over towards the east. It was heading roughly south to North at a fairly steep angle. We initially saw it at quite a low altitude and it gave out two bursts of bright sparks before disappearing not far above ground level. The six of us who saw it had a rare treat!
