Vancouver, Washington, USA Meteor ~10:40 pm 16OCT2011
Stepped out of my house in Vancouver, Washington, USA and saw a meteor shooting across the sky. It was streaking, flaring up as it broke apart and burned up. it was the brightess meteor I have ever seen. This occured at approx 10:40pm. My house faces west, the meteor was travelling from WSW towards NNW. The duration l was approx 3-4 seconds. It was a redish streak that flared white as it burned up.
