Asteroid impact on Jupiter

An amateur astronomer in Japan has observed a cosmic impact of
Jupiter. He successfully photographed a flash which lasted almost two
seconds.
The National Observatory believes Mr Masayuki Tatikawa watched the
crash of an asteroid or a comet about a kilometre across.
