 At exactly 6:02AM EST January 24, 2011 in Tampa, FL: saw a "slowly moving"meteor low in the southern sky falling toward the east from the west. Pieces appeared to break off and burn up before the whole meteor finished burning up in the atmosphere.

We watched it for a couple of minutes then it disappeared behind some trees, very bright tho! any ideas?? My husband thinks it was moving to slow to be a meteorite.Got a picture on my phone, but doesnt show just how bright it really was

LunarMeteorite*Hunter Note:  A duration of 2 minutes is a bit odd.  Multiple fireballs or a single one?
Indications are that it was NOT a meteor but not enough information at this time.

Dear Sir,

I know in the last few days you have seen several large green fireballs, but none have been reported for Florida, near Pensacola.  I wanted to let you know that today, 21JAN2011, shortly before 7:00 pm CST I saw a very large green fireball cross the sky.  I was driving home when I spotted the fireball.  I am sorry I'm not able to give you the precise time, but I hope that helps with some of your tracking.  Have a lovely evening.
