25th May 2016 19:03 UTC close Approach of Aten asteroid 2016 KO at 2.17 LD and a slow relative velocity of 7.3 Km/s


20 metre wide Aten asteroid 2016 K0 discovered


Discovered on the 28th of May 2016, 3 days after it made a close approach of our planet and moon, 20 metre sized Aten asteroid 2016 KO crawled past us at a minimum distance of 2.17 LD and a relative velocity of a mere 7.3 Km/s crossing the plane of the ecliptic S to N at an inclination of 6.4 degrees.
