Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
17OCT2013 Mary Day Vancouver Island, BC, Canada 7:25:00 2 seconds before it disappeared behind the mountain Right to left I was driving north Yellow at the top & blue at the front end moon possibly It appeared to be circular and close. A friend driving south saw something bright on her right.

17OCT2013 Kevin Ramsey Chetwynd B.C 7:09:00 3 south west bright white bright white light not that i could see this was NOT a plane it was like the one on the news in Russia

17OCT2013 Jennifer El Dorado Hills, CA 95672 7:00:00 3 secs United States bright fire ball with white bright tail moon unable to tell very low flying, appeared to probably hit the ground

17OCT2013 David Melara Milpitas, CA 6:55:00 3 sec United States Bright Blue N/A no no

17OCT2013 Connie El Dorado Hills, CA USA 06:54 Pacific AM 7-8 Seconds, view obstructed North East Left To Right South Green Firey Could Hear No Sound Moon Couldn't see any Looked like a 4th of july sparkler

17OCT2013 tracy stockton, ca, usa 0653 hours 2 seconds downward from right to left (north to south) I was facing southwest green moon or brighter no it was quite bright,I could see the streak vividly and it was already light outside

17OCT2013 David B Walnut Creek, CA USA 0645/pacific 6 south a huge white ball then turned green as it streaked through the still black sky brighter than other stars in sky almost sun brightness none that I could see such a beautiful green trail

17OCT2013 Bill Beaton North of Salinas, CA 6:45/PST, AM 1 to 2 seconds East North East/ West South West, right to left, facing West bright yellow, slight red, inlcuded flame trail, no sound dawn light, but brighter than meteors I have seen at night Not sure, but flames were not compact None

17OCT2013 Mike Afonso Byron, California USA 06:15 AM Pac Standard 3 to 5 sec S-W Red to blue to white Bright as the sun. Happened during daylight. No fragments Changed colors 3 times then went out of view
