The Embassy alerts U.S. citizens residing or traveling in Japan that the Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami advisory for coastal regions of Japan. The Japan Meteorological Agency reports that the "Tsunami height is expected to be about 0.5 meters. Attention advised." Local media outlets report that the tsunami should make landfall between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm, Japan time. Please be aware that there is always a possibility that this situation may change.
