Initial Sighting Reports:
30AUG2012 Lakrime Castiglion Fiorentino, AREZZO, ITALY 20:50:00 3-5 seconds Facing South, it was going West (right) No sound. Looked like a classical falling star but was much bigger, brighter and a little slower Moon Yes. At the tail end it changed to a reddish colour and I saw a handful of fragments falling off. Never seen such a thing. We were in a field talking with friends when my husband pointed to the sky. Not all of us saw it. I was literally shocked to see such a thing.

30Aug2012 Ricky La Spezia, Italy 20.36 CEST (UTC+2) about 10 sec S - SE white - green tail - yellow venus yes started at about 20° above horizon
