I believe I saw this meteor as I was driving north on Highway 52, about 4 miles north of Harmony. It approached from behind, so I did not see it until I could see it through the windshield. It was heading just west of north, and produced several bright flashes as it broke up and then disappeared.

We were driving north on County Road 23 north to Northfield, MN and saw the same flashes. We both thought it was lightning at first, but it was too cold for at.

My family left the home at around 7:10 pm - 7:15 pm on Wednesday night and we saw the flash. It flash twice, the first not so bright and then the second was unbelievably bright. We weren't sure what the heck it was, but now understand people all over had seen it also. We live in South Maplewood, east of the St. Paul.

11:10pm last night. Coming home from work. Saw what looked like a falling star, with sparkles coming off of it, just westward of town. It didnt seem too far away, but am unable to judge distance of it. It came straight down. I wish i had a clearer view of impact area, but the trees of town were in between me and the falling sparkler. Manvel, ND.
