Boston, Massachusetts Meteor ~9-10 pm 29APR2011
Guest696 (guest):Few hours ago (~9-10 pm April 29) saw a bright light to the south traveling very fast. Thought it was a firework until I realized how fast it was traveling and and saw it break apart as it got lower. I am about 15 miles north of Boston, and if I had to guess I'd say it fell somewhere between me and the city. Essex County, Massachusetts.

Hey, I am in Rhode Island and a little after 9:00pm I saw the meteor also.
Like you stated at first I thought "A FIREWORK"
Then I realized it was not because of the distance and the way it traveled, I called out to my brother-in-law and said "HEY.. LOOK AT THAT" He was able to catch the tail end of it and we both agreed it must of lasted atleast 4 seconds, we viewed it slightly above the tree line. it was very bright blueish green.
I am glad I got to catch sight of it.. did a GOOGLE thank you technology.
I may have seen the same thing last night, driving on 290 just west of the northboro exit, after 9pm last night. Saw a large fireball streak across the sky to the east/northeast, passing through/under a cloud. Lasted about 3-4 seconds.
Driving home from work saw a large fireball heading north thought it was a plane crashing ,lasted 4-6 seconds.It was the most amazing to see most Likly a once in a life time thing. So glad I got to see it
