It was around 8:00 pm when I saw it,it was like a ball of fire soaring through the sky for around ten seconds, Ive never seen anything like that.Im a little concerned about our current technology's efficiency at tracking down potentially dangerous meteorites for our planet as this one was spotted preety close for us to do anything about it. Omar ,Carolina Puerto Rico
My wife and I saw the meteor from Flamenco Beach, Culebra. When I spotted it it was due south of us moving east, about 60 degrees above horizon. It was slower than most dashes of shooting stars I've seen, and much brighter. I watched it for 4-5 seconds, when it burned out to our southeast, about 30 degrees above horizon. Late in the flare it flashed green, and there was one small fragment that broke off half a second before it disappeared.
