Initial Meteor Sighting Reports-
28OCT2014 David Preston Liverpool UK 23.48 4 - 5 secs SSE to NNW Bright Yellow to White Very bright, like an aircraft headlight coming towards. Yes, split in two then more just before disappearing About 35-45 deg above horizon, in a 60 deg arc across the sky, not as fast as a "shooting star" more like a very fast close range aircraft.

28OCT2014 Sean McMahon CARLOW IRELAND 23.48 PM 3 SECONDS HEADING NORTH, RIGHT TO LEFT,FACING EAST BRIGHT WHITE/YELLOW COLOUR,NO SOUND,LONG TAIL COMING FROM BACK OF METEOR BREAKING UP SAME AS SUN YES APPEARED LOW IN THE SKY, HARD TO KNOW HOW FAR AWAY,APPEARED TO BE BREAKING UP. DIDNT GET A PHOTO
28OCT2014 Ian Clapperton Barnoldswick, Lancashire, England 23:50 BST PM Only caught the last few seconds SE-NW Left to Right,Facing SW White-Yellow, then Blue when it broke up into pieces Moon Broke into 2-3 pieces which were a blue colour Just stepped out of the house taking my dog for a walk, and was amazed at what I saw. Beautiful.
28OCT2014 LOUIS ARNOLD BLACKPOOL , LANCASHIRE , UK 23-45 BST PM 20 SE TO NW YELLOW/ WHITE MOON 3 PIECES i THOUGHT IT WAS A SHOOTING STAR UNTIL IT BROKE INTO A TRAIL OF 3 - 4 BITS AND DISAPEARED
